Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Safety is everyone’s top priority. Please follow these procedures. As a reminder, the school day is 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. No one will be permitted to enter or leave through the side or back doors after 9 a.m. If your child arrives at school after 9 a.m., they are considered tardy, and an adult must accompany them to the main entrance to be signed in.
Drop Off Procedures
Bus Riders
- Students riding the bus will enter Yorkshire and be dismissed through the front doors (Door 1).
Car Riders/Walkers
- At 8:50 a.m., a staff member will open the doors to permit students to enter. An adult needs to wait with the student until they enter the building.
Students with last names starting A-K
- Enter through the side doors (Mills Street side).
- Parents will park their vehicle and walk their child along the sidewalk to the Mill Street entrance.
- Vehicles can be parked in the bus lane and along Mills Street, where parking is permissible.
Students with last names starting L-Z
- Enter through the back door (near the playground).
- Parents will park their vehicle in a designated parking spot and walk their child to the sidewalk leading to the door.
- Vehicles can be parked in the back lot, along Maywood and Fifth Avenue. Please be cautious as you pull in and out of this area, and avoid blocking driveways or intersections.
Pick Up Procedures
Car Riders/Walkers
- Starting at 3:45 p.m., students may be picked up.
- Parents arriving after 3:50 p.m. must pick up their student from the front office (Door 1). Our school office closes at 4 p.m.
- Parents will walk or park their car and walk to the sidewalk leading to the door associated with their last name.
- Display the sign designating your child's name when you arrive.
Students with last names starting A-K
- Dismissed at the side doors (Mills Street side).
Students with last names starting L-Z
- Dismissed at the back door (near the playground).
